Dr. Elmer Huerta recalled that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) advised against the use of ivermectin in the prevention or treatment of coronavirus, referring to the widespread use of said drug in Latin America.
The oncologist and specialist in Public Health said that ivermectin gives a false sense of security to the population and that even if they use it, they could become infected and become ill with covid-19.
