It becomes concrete: the Freising city councils recently had the drafts for the planned calisthenics exercise parks in Freising and Attaching.

- Something is happening on a green area on the Freising Fürstendamm near the kindergarten on Veitsmüllerweg and in the Sportpark Attaching: After the planning committee had determined these two locations for exercise parks - in new German: calisthenics facilities - in November 2020, the city councils were now on Wednesday the drafts of the planning office and landscape architect Thilo Mittag.
Wood chips serve as fall protection
Because there are different orientations for the two parks, the equipment is not identical either: The Calisthenics Park on Fürstendamm is intended to appeal to a broad section of the population.
The direct juxtaposition of the playground on Veitsmüllerweg and the new exercise park is ideal, so the arguments for this location.
The entire area is filled with wood chips, which are to serve as fall protection.
There will also be sufficient seating and storage space in the park in the form of podium benches, and the area will be shaded by trees.
Areas and devices, for example for push-ups, arm pulls, back stretches, an upper body ergometer or a balancing stretch are provided around a central area with podium benches and tree planting.
The total costs are currently estimated at around 220,000 euros.

The calisthenics facility at the sports park in Attaching will cost just under half, namely around 100,000 euros.
The equipment is geared primarily towards the needs of the sports club on the one hand, and the wishes of the Attachinger citizens on the other.
The choice of equipment and the design are intended to particularly support older people and young girls in overcoming possible inhibitions.
A large calisthenics station will be set up for club members who want to do more demanding exercises.
Keep interference with the landscape to a minimum
It is important for everyone involved in the project to keep the interference with the landscape as low as possible.
That is why the devices are mainly inserted in the areas of the former, semicircular barbecue areas built into embankments, which are newly framed with limestone blocks.
Fall protection in the form of wood chips should only be available selectively around the respective devices at this location.
After the draft planning has been approved, the planning permission is now created, and then the building permit is applied for.
Then the final project decision is made.
