The head of the Lebanese Popular Movement, MP Mustafa Hussein, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leadership and people of Syria for providing Lebanon with oxygen in a way that would contribute to reducing the dangers of Corona virus patients in Lebanon.

Hussein considered in a statement that this step is humanitarian par excellence, stressing that the priority is always to work in the interest of Lebanon and its people.

In turn, the General Coordinator of the Assembly of Popular Committees and Associations in Lebanon, Maan Bashour, praised the Syrian initiative to provide Lebanon with oxygen to fill the shortage in Lebanese hospitals of this vital substance and to relieve thousands of patients with the Corona epidemic.

Bashour said in a statement to SANA's correspondent in Beirut, “That Syria, which has been exhausted by a terrorist war that has been going on for ten years on which it has been carrying out these quantities of oxygen, to Lebanon suffocated by the Coronavirus epidemic, is a national and humanitarian gesture of brotherhood and affirmation that the nudity between Syria and Lebanon is indissoluble no matter what someone tries to drive away Lebanon. From his national dimension and the exclusion of Syria from its role.

For its part, the Jabal Amel Scholars Association welcomed the humanitarian move and the kind initiative from Syria and said, "This initiative confirms that Lebanon cannot practice a state of neutrality with Syria, which some are calling for in an unrealistic and unrealistic manner."

The grouping called for taking quick steps to extricate Lebanon from its multiplying crises and to be aware of the seriousness of the situation it has reached.

President Bashar al-Assad directed the Ministry of Health yesterday to secure 75 tons of oxygen to Lebanon over a period of three days, at a rate of 25 tons every day, after his hospitals were empty of oxygen and in light of the presence of hundreds of patients infected with Coronavirus on artificial respirators.
