The chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, MK Bezalel Smutrich, ruled out the possibility of forming a government led by Benjamin Netanyahu with the support of the RAAM party.

In a post he posted today (Thursday) to his Facebook account, he wrote: "Get it out of your head.

According to him, "supporters of terrorism who deny the existence of the State of Israel as a Jewish state are not legitimate partners in any government."

Smutrich called on right-wing chairman Naftali Bennett and new Tikva chairman Gideon Saar to sit down for negotiations: "I am ready to sit down today and coordinate our essential demands from Netanyahu so that a real, good and functioning right-wing government can be formed immediately after Passover. "The terms are at our doorstep. Put everything aside and come."

There will be no right-wing government based on Mansour Abbas' RM. Point. Not on the inside, not on the outside, not on abstinence, and not on any other Isralop. >>> ...

Smutrich also wrote that Bennett and Saar "positioned themselves in this election as candidates for the right-wing prime minister in place of Netanyahu. Completely legitimate, but they failed and the people said their word clearly."

Smutrich asked the two "to respect the democratic outcome, join a national government and get Israel out of the mud. There are too many urgent issues on the agenda and the public will not forgive those who do not show the necessary responsibility and let personal considerations, hatred and boycotts prevail over the state."
