The facts took place Tuesday, March 23, during a disciplinary council, in the lycée and college François-Mitterrand.
The student had been summoned for having assaulted several of his comrades.
Excluded definitively from the establishment, the college student, accompanied by his parents, had initially accepted the sentence and left the room.
But, a few minutes later, he entered the room again, violently insulting the principal.
In a fit of anger, he pushed the headmaster's desk, causing the headmaster to fall.
Several educational assistants then intervened to try to control the teenager.
An "uncontrolled explosion"
Unknown to the justice services, the young man was taken into custody at the request of the prosecution, "
to mean that we do not trivialize this kind of event
", underlined in
Figaro
the prosecutor of the Republic of Montauban Laurent Czernic .
“
It was the subject of an innovative procedure, which we have been putting in place for some time, an alternative to prosecution outside the walls: the prosecutor's delegates went to the gendarmerie brigade to notify a criminal response.
This makes it easier to send a message to people in police custody, to remind people of the principles, but also to give an immediate response.
Here, the response took the form of penal reparation,
"said the prosecutor, specifying that the student was summoned to the Judicial Protection of Youth (PJJ) and will have, for several months," to
work on what can feel the victim
”with psychologists, and“
think about his passage to the act
”, in particular by writing a letter of apology.

Faced with this "
inadmissible act
", the academic director of the national education services of the department (DASEN) Pierre Roques joined the complaint of the director of the college.
“
It's an out of control explosion.
The words were very violent, all the staff are in shock.
It is essential when there is an attack of this kind that the institution shows solidarity, that it is alongside the educational team.
The support in these situations is systematic, the hierarchy is always present, I am uncompromising on this
, ”reacted to
Figaro
Pierre Roques.
Regarding the sanction to which the adolescent was subjected, the latter underlined the importance of the "
educational dimension
": "
we are above all educators, and the goal is to give these young people a second chance, so that 'they can realize the gravity of the facts
,' he said.
