The government in Israel cannot be assisted by supporters of terrorism.

This simple statement, that until less than three years ago no one would have imagined that there would be a debate in the mainstream of the Israeli public, must be a candle at the feet of every person who wants to lead the Jewish state.

This is despite the fact that for the past two years the Communist Party - the most powerful and effective body in the service of the Israeli left, coming from the post-Zionist left - has run a deceptive and disgusting campaign to train dictatorial fans (Ayman "Assad moves from success to success" and more). Yazbek), justifying terrorism (Ofer "legitimate to harm the soldiers" Kasif) and those seeking to destroy the state (Abtisam "to destroy the memory" of Ra'anana).

Communist Party activists sought to silence the vast majority of Israelis who felt intimidated by these statements, by labeling them as "Arab-hating racists."

The fact that some of the speakers are members of the Moshe religion is of course not of interest to them: the goal - overthrowing Netanyahu and the right and the queen of the left-wing government - sanctifies all means.

The shock grew when it became clear that even former chiefs of staff, such as Bnei Gantz and Boogie Ya'alon - people who headed the Israel Defense Forces and sent young men and women on missions knowing that some would not return alive - lied with a determined forehead to their constituents. The enemy and accept with understanding the killing of soldiers, and perhaps even civilians.

Likud activist and sharp-witted publicist Moshe Ifergan put it well, in January a year ago.

"If the chiefs of staff do not care to give legitimacy to those who do not condemn terrorism against our soldiers, and they dictate to the right that only Ben Gvir should not commit suicide, have mercy on us, we are slaves," Ifergan wrote on Twitter. "These days will still be remembered as the horrors of our history."

In the run-up to the last election, Lapid removed all masks, declaring in advance that he intends to join forces to form a government - contrary to his statements only until recently.

At the same time, the joint was partially disintegrated, with the United Arab List (RAAM - the Islamic Movement), led by Mansour Abbas, running separately, to separate from the Palestinian-nationalist discourse and transfer the interaction with the state and the right in particular to civilian cooperation. Abbas refused to disqualify Netanyahu before and after the election.

On the face of it, this is a blessed move, which I hope will be followed by growing sections of the Arab public in Israel who want to be part of the state, and not to separate from it or strive for its elimination.

But there is one problem: Abbas and his friends on the list are supporters of terrorism.

Or at least supported terrorism: Journalist Yishai Friedman presented unequivocal evidence that Abbas and his friends had expressed support for the release of Arab murderers - including Marwan Barghouti, who was sentenced to five life terms for his responsibility for killing 50 Israelis - and sanctified the memory of terrorists He also visited the Temple Mount only about a year and a half ago, calling the police on the mountain "Israeli occupying forces" and the Jewish visitors "settlers."

The temptation not to use the voices of Abbas and his friends "only once", and the sincere and important desire to integrate Arab society into government, should not be translated into giving kosher status to the enemies of the people and the country - Jews or Arabs.

Abbas and his comrades will be honored and shake off as one man their past statements and actions, announce their resolute opposition to terrorism - and then it will be possible to hold a weighty discussion about the possibility that their fingers will give power to the right.

Otherwise, the Israeli right will also enter the history books as someone who was a partner in the "Days of Horrors."
