The city of Erding is applying to become a model region in which citizens can visit shops, cafés and restaurants after a quick test.

But this should not stop behind the city limits.

Erding

- The city of Erding wants to become a model region for corona rapid tests.

Mayor Max Gotz (CSU) announced this on Thursday in an interview with our newspaper.

But Gotz does not only want to apply for his city: "We see ourselves as part of a community of solidarity, which is why the entire district should become a model region." In this regard, he is in close contact with District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer.

Yesterday, however, this advance came from almost all Bavarian regions.

The number should initially be limited to eight.

The names Ingolstadt, Rosenheim and Mühldorf have already been mentioned.

The first two are independent cities and therefore have their own health authorities.

Munich also wants to be there from the start.

Rapid tests based on the Tübingen model

There are six pharmacies in the Erding district that offer rapid tests.

The district screening center at the swimming pool in Erding and the weekend test center at the outdoor swimming pool in Dorfen offer further options.

Following the example of Tübingen, citizens should receive a day ticket after a negative rapid test so that they can participate in public life for a day.

In this context, Gotz criticizes "that we unfortunately always receive the implementation provisions very late and can therefore only react to changes at extremely short notice".

Without state health literacy, “our municipalities are unfortunately often tied”.

OB Gotz: Stand for opening "rifle at foot"

Gotz goes on to report that Erding stands for any form of opening "rifle at your feet".

His administration has already visited all the catering establishments.

"This year we will be very generous again with the free bar areas," promises the mayor.

The city will again provide the largest possible area on streets and squares.

The lease had been waived for the restaurateurs - at the expense of the city treasury.

“We'll get started as soon as the opportunity arises,” promises Gotz.

The city has ordered 3,000 self-tests for town hall employees and visitors.

Gotz adds, however, that they cannot be given to elementary and middle schools.

"That is the responsibility of the state."

Incidence drops to 82.5

Despite 25 new corona infections on Wednesday, the incidence fell to 82.5 the day after, a minus of eight.

Now another 18 infections with Sars-CoV-2 have been added, says district office spokeswoman Claudia Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer.

A total of 5585 are known.

The number of people recovered increases by 23 to 5,220. As a result, 262 district citizens are currently considered infected, five fewer than the day before, according to Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer.

The clinic currently cares for 13 Covid 19 patients, but nobody has been in the corona intensive care unit for a good ten days.

The BRK administered 19 037 vaccine doses, 347 alone on Wednesday, 48 by the mobile team.

6574 people have the second and therefore complete protection.

235 smears were taken at the screening site on Wednesday, and there are now 49,646 tests in total.

From April, no more appointments are necessary in the test center

The health department had to order quarantine in two other cases: for six children and four supervisors from the St. Nikolaus special kindergarten as well as four pupils and three supervisors from the St. Nikolaus School in Erding.

The District Office also announced that from April 1st, appointments by telephone will no longer be required at the test center.

The hotline is switched off.

Anyone willing to test can present themselves in Erding and Dorfen during the opening times.

Opening times during Holy Week

During Holy Week, the test center in Erding is open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Good Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The screening center in Dorfen is open on Good Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
