The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a new resolution condemning the violations of the Israeli occupation entity's rights to the people of the occupied Syrian Golan and demanding that it stop it and comply with the relevant United Nations resolutions and cease its repressive practices.

The resolution issued at the end of the forty-sixth session of the Council under Article Seven entitled “The Status of Human Rights in the Syrian Golan” condemned the implementation of the colonial annexation and settlement policies pursued by the Israeli occupation entity and demanded that it stop attempts to change the legal status, demographic and urban character in the occupied Golan, which constitutes a violation of Security Council Resolution No. 497 for the year 1981.

The decision stressed the return of the displaced from the occupied Syrian Golan to their homes and the restoration of their properties, and expressed dissatisfaction with the approval of the occupation authorities to start building work on the wind turbine project on agricultural lands owned by Syrian citizens and demanded that it immediately stop all measures related to this project related to settlement and to stop attempts to create facts on Land to prolong the occupation.

The Council also adopted another resolution on Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and in the occupied Syrian Golan, where it reiterated the illegality of the Israeli settlements in the occupied lands and demanded an end to the Israeli occupation of the lands occupied since 1967, and for a retreat from the Israeli settlement policies and an immediate cessation of the construction and expansion of settlements In the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The decision called for immediate measures to be taken to prohibit all discriminatory policies and practices against the population under occupation, to stop exploiting natural resources in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and in the occupied Syrian Golan, and to stop all activities harmful to the environment.

The resolution urges states and international organizations to ensure that no measures are taken that constitute recognition of all illegal practices and measures taken by the Israeli occupation entity in the occupied Arab territories, and to refrain from providing any aid for purposes related to Israeli settlements, and to implement the guidelines on business and human rights in this regard.
