The reopening of the commercial ports in Lattakia, Tartous, and the Banias oil terminal to marine traffic

The General Directorate of Ports announced the reopening of commercial ports only in Lattakia, Tartous and the Banias oil terminal, to shipping traffic after the improvement of weather conditions.

In a statement to SANA, Engineer Hani Shriqi, in charge of managing the affairs of the General Directorate of Ports, stated that the commercial ports of Tartous and Lattakia and the Banias oil terminal have been reopened in the face of maritime navigation after the intensity of the air activity resulting from the depression that dominated the region and the closure of the fishing and excursion ports declined, indicating that no No significant damages are recorded due to the storm, and the Directorate announced yesterday the closure of all commercial sea ports and fishing ports in the coastal region due to the prevailing weather conditions and storms.
