Turkey criticized the conclusions of the European Union summit on Thursday evening, March 25, which asked for pledges to relaunch its relations with Ankara, while promising to respond with

"Even though the need for a positive agenda was emphasized, it was found that the report was written from a unilateral point of view and under the influence of narrow-minded allegations from a few member countries
," said complained the Turkish Foreign Ministry in a statement.
Appreciating, however, the efforts to continue relations
"on the basis of a positive agenda"
, the Turkish ministry promised to respond

to the gestures on the part of the EU
"in the sense of our common interests"

The European Union on Thursday asked Turkey for pledges to relaunch its relations with it and placed Ankara under surveillance until June to mark its disapproval of the deterioration of rights and freedoms.

EU leaders meeting at the summit have approved a
"gradual, conditional and reversible approach to strengthen cooperation in"
a number of areas of common interest ", announced the spokesperson for the President of the European Council Charles Michel .
But they set as a condition a continuation of
"the current de-escalation"
and that
"Turkey engages constructively"
, indicates the declaration approved by the leaders.
The Europeans want to normalize relations with Turkey after a year of tensions.
