(CNN Spanish) -

The Bolivian justice declared inadmissible the appeal for "illegal apprehension" presented by former interim president Jeanine Áñez and her former ministers, who must remain in preventive detention, according to the state network Bolivia TV.

The sentence was handed down by the First Criminal Chamber of La Paz.

One of Áñez's lawyers, Norka Cuéllar, confirmed the fact to CNN and said that "there are still greater legal resources and we must exhaust everything within the State."

From Áñez's Twitter account, it was written that "the legal team of the former president informs that she will resort to constitutional means to claim her rights."
