A man from Munich wanted to celebrate FC Bayern's Champions League triumph with their own trophy.
But UEFA and customs did not go along with that.
Now the man is threatened with trouble.

As the main customs office in Munich * announced on Friday, the customs officers discovered the forgery of the Champions League * trophy in a consignment from China * in October 2020.

The recipient of the cheap trophy, a 30-year-old from Munich, accidentally saw the counterfeit on the Internet - and hit it straight away.
For him, the piece would have been a nice reminder of Bayern's victory in the Champions League final in 2020.
He forked out 400 euros for the handle pot - actually a bargain.
The 7.5 kilo original is worth 50,000 euros and consists of 925 sterling silver and 24 carat gold leaf.
However, customs thwarted the hopeful buyer: the 30-year-old had to appear at the customs office, but was not allowed to take his trophy home with him and left empty-handed.
“It was clear to the man that it wasn't the original.
However, he was not aware that the import of a counterfeit is legally prohibited, ”explains Marie Müller, spokeswoman for the main customs office in Munich.
How it will go on for the man is not yet clear.
According to the customs office, he will probably have to sign a cease and desist declaration.
And the supposed trophy?
It is well kept in the evidence room of the customs office.
