In an interview with Sana Cultural, Al-Khani points out that her relationship with painting began with the first box of colors her father brought her as a gift and it was the most valuable thing she had, indicating that her artistic family, which includes professional painters, had a role in her attachment to art.

Al-Khani revealed that what increased her attachment to painting was her marriage to her professor in one of the painting courses, the artist Tayeb Hammam, so she had a common space of interest and discussion, although she later went to the art and world of children, while he continued with plastic art and exhibitions.

Al-Khani, who aspires to become a professional in the art of anime, "Japanese animation works" in particular, temporarily restrained this ambition due to different circumstances and obstacles and continued to combine the world of childhood and drawing through children's stories, but she still views Japanese painters as owners of a unique school such as / Iyao Miyazaki / and / Kazuo Oka /.

Al-Khani considers that the work presented to the child must receive the attention and attention of the child himself. Therefore, she often asks the children in her surroundings about their opinion of her drawings, and what is the idea that reached them and she is very happy when feelings reach them and they can build their idea of the scene in a deeper way through the painting than mere events and facts.

In drawing for children, Al-Khani relies on modern technology using the tablet computer for drawing and a number of specialized programs for that.

Al-Khani hopes that the field of children's literature and information will receive the attention it deserves, and all its employees have opportunities to develop and spread, and to produce works based on studies related to the thinking of the child and how to influence him in positive ways.
