Under the title “eloquent melody”, the Syrian National Orchestra for Arab Music, led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah, presented some of the masterpieces of the late musician Baligh Hamdi's works, which enriched the Arab Music Library, in a concert at the Dar Al-Assad Theater for Culture in Lattakia.

The ceremony, which came in cooperation between the Ministries of Culture and Tourism, as a tribute to the late musician who was called the King of Arab Music, included a bouquet of his most beautiful tunes that he presented to the giants of Arab singing with the voices of Syrian artists, students and graduates of the Higher Institute of Music.

The band, which included more than fifty musicians, opened its concert in front of the large audience eager for the song, the word and the original melody of Brilliant Umm Kulthum “A Thousand and One Nights”, after which the audience cheered the performance of all of Lubna Nafaa with the song “The Love That Was” by the generation singer Mayada Al-Hinnawi and Left Said with the song “Black Eyes.” Lourdeh Al Jazairia and Silvie Suleiman with the song “Far Aounaak” by Umm Kulthum. The end will be with the voice of Rayan Jarra, with the song “Sawah” by the Asmar Nightingale Abdel Halim Hafez.

Maestro Fathallah considered in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the concert in Lattakia is unique for the band after the great success it achieved in Damascus at the beginning of this month to advance again on the Dar al-Assad theater in Lattakia as part of the Ministry of Culture’s plan to revitalize the cultural movement in the governorates.

Fathallah indicated that the "eloquent melody" concert is a tribute to the genius of music of the late Baligh, who enriched Arab music, and to introduce the new generation to its production by presenting some of its melodies with academic Syrian voices from students and graduates of the Higher Institute of Music.

The Syrian National Orchestra for Arab Music, according to its leader, aims to celebrate the great artistic stadiums that have had a great impact in the Arab world and to embrace talents and present them to the theater, pointing out that the group has previously performed in this context many concerts for major Syrian musicians such as Abdel Fattah Sukkar and Suhail Arafa Among the poets and writers of the Syrian song, such as Issa Ayoub and Nizar Qabbani, she is preparing for a new concert, as a tribute to the late musician Muhammad Mohsen.

It is noteworthy that the National Orchestra for Arab Music, which was established in 1990, includes seventy highly professional musicians and singers working to present all forms and forms of Arabic instrumental and lyrical music.
