After the most recent summit, it is clear: Especially over the Easter period, Bavaria has another tough day ahead of it.
Here is an overview of the new corona rules for the Free State.
Munich
- On Monday, the federal and state governments discussed the further course of the corona crisis for a total of 15 hours.
Then it was clear: The lockdown will be extended until April 18th.
After much back and forth, Chancellor Merkel and the Prime Ministers - including Söder - were able to agree on further resolutions.
These were discussed again in the Bavarian Cabinet on Tuesday (March 23).
Some special routes were decided upon for Bavaria.
Corona rules in Bavaria: Planned super lockdown has been canceled
"We are probably living in the most dangerous phase of the pandemic ever," emphasized Söder in the nightly press conference.
Due to the spread of the corona mutations, he spoke of a completely new pandemic that the Free State is currently facing.
How exactly things will continue for Bavaria, and whether the Free State may even face a tightened special path, Söder announced live in a press conference on Tuesday.
Here is an overview of the current status of the new corona rules:
The top priority is to get the rising corona numbers under control again.
A super lockdown was therefore initially planned for Easter.
On the Easter days, from April 1st to 5th, life in Bavaria should be shut down completely.
In addition to the Easter holidays, Maundy Thursday and Holy Saturday should also be “rest days” with a “
no-gathering ban
”.
These "rest days" should be analogous to normal public holidays.
This means that public holiday bonuses would be paid and work would have been dormant in most industries on these days.
But two days later the turning point.
Chancellor Angela Merkel * (CDU) withdrew the regulation with the Easter rest days and apologized.
Specifically, this means: facilities that are open on rest days are also allowed to open on these days.
In addition, there are no
Easter services
or religious gatherings with a face-to-face audience.
On Holy Saturday only the “food retail trade in the narrow sense” is allowed to open.
So apart from food, no other products may be sold.
Corona rules in Bavaria: Tightened emergency brake from an incidence of 100 - Stricter rules for vacationers
If the corona incidence rises to over 100 in districts or cities, a tightened
emergency brake will come
into force there.
In this case, the
exit restrictions apply
from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
and with stricter
contact restrictions
.
In the future, there will also be new hurdles for
vacationers
.
From now on, airlines should test all return travelers for Corona before departure.
A general test obligation for air travelers to Germany is to be introduced.
Corona rules in Bavaria: After Easter, the Free State goes a few different ways
From April 12th, however, a lot will change in Bavaria.
At the cabinet meeting, for example, it was decided that from this point on,
retailers may
also be open at an incidence of up to 100.
So far, this rule has only applied up to an incidence of 50. The “Click & Meet” procedure was used beyond this.
So go shopping if an appointment has been made beforehand.
From this point on, “Click & Meet” will only be used if the incidence is over 100.
A lot will also change for schoolchildren from April 12th.
From this point on, the fourth and eleventh grades are considered to be the
final
classes
and remain in alternating
classes
even if the incidence is over 100.
However, from this value onwards, corona tests are mandatory.
You can only attend classes if you have a negative test that is not older than 48 hours.
If the incidence is below 100, all grades should then go to alternating classes.
