Three people were killed and 23 others were injured in the collapse of a 10-storey residential building today in Gesr El Suez, Cairo.
The Al-Ahram Al-Masry website quoted the Central Operations Room in Cairo Governorate as saying that it “received a notification today at dawn of the collapse of a ground-floor and 9-storey building on the refrigerator street, Omar bin Al-Khattab division, next to Omar bin Al-Khattab metro station, Al-Salam District 1.”
The statement added that 23 cases were transferred to Al-Salam Hospital and 3 deaths, indicating that the search is underway for missing persons under the rubble.
