A private car crashed into a person on Wen Kam To Road in Sheung Shui and left without care. A man sustained a head injury and died after being sent to hospital for emergency treatment.
The driver returned to the scene after the incident to assist in the investigation, and was "exploded" by the hotel's breath test.
The incident occurred at about midnight today (28th) when a man was knocked down by a private car in a parking lot of Hongqiao New Village on Wenjindu Road when he was reversing. He was injured in the head and fell unconscious on the ground. No private car was involved. Stop low to assist and call the police, and drive away from the scene after the incident.
Someone reported that the man was injured and called the police. Rescuers arrived at the scene and rushed him to Shatin Wells Hospital, but he was certified dead after the rescue.
