Vacation despite Corona: Germany introduces mandatory testing for travelers returning

.: There is another shift by one day: A test obligation for flight entrants to Germany is now to come into force in the night from Monday to Tuesday (March 30th).
Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) said on Friday in a joint press conference with RKI boss Lothar Wieler that he had "just drawn" the new entry regulation.
The reason is that travelers and airlines should be given "a little more time" to prepare.
The airlines had shown that the previously planned start date on Sunday night could largely have been adhered to.
However, there are some countries in which the “test infrastructure itself is not yet as developed”.

So far, compulsory testing has only been provided for people who have been in an area in the ten days prior to their entry where the number of corona infections is particularly high or where its mutations are widespread.

Berlin - Is the Easter holiday on Mallorca falling?
The federal government is checking whether trips to popular holiday areas can be temporarily prevented due to Corona.
"This is now being checked by the responsible departments," said the deputy government spokeswoman Ulrike Demmer on Wednesday in Berlin.
But there are "major constitutional hurdles," she added restrictively.
As of March 12, the federal government no longer classified Mallorca as a risk area because the 7-day incidence there had dropped to below 50 - which triggered a booking boom for the Balearic island, which is popular with German holidaymakers.
