French Prime Minister Jean Castes announced that the country is facing a critical situation due to the continued spread of the third wave of the Corona virus.

Castes said in a statement quoted by AFP that the continuing outbreak of the virus in France has placed the country in a very "critical" position.

The French authorities imposed new measures that included preventing movement of more than 10 kilometers without permission and leaving the area without a convincing reason, in addition to closing shops to impose respect for the travel ban.

An official source in the French police said that the latter had deployed dozens of inspection teams in the Parisian Montparnasse station, compared to two or three teams in normal times, indicating that the controls would be tightened at peak times.

Three additional French provinces, Rhone, Aube and Niaver, have been classified as a "red zone" since midnight last night, which means that they will be subject to the health restrictions in force in 16 provinces, including Paris and its region, as well as the presence of 24 other regions in an increased state of anticipation.

A curfew is in effect in the rest of the country from seven in the evening until six in the morning, while bars, restaurants and cultural places are closed in all provinces, but the French authorities decided to keep schools open, unlike other European countries due to the risk of dropping out of school and the psychological problems that pupils may face in stone.

It is noteworthy that French President Emmanuel Macron announced last Thursday that the coming weeks will be difficult.

France recorded a total of four million and 508 thousand and 575 injuries, while its total deaths reached 94,465 deaths.
