In the middle of the corona pandemic, the McDonald's restaurant on Irschenberg is being fundamentally rebuilt.
The time of queues is over - the new generation of the fast-food restaurant does not rely on self-collection, but instead brings the order to the guests' table.

- "In a way, it is the restaurant of the future," says owner Michael Heinritzi.
“Everything is going to be digitized.” The intervention in the inventory that is now taking place is extensive, because Heinritzi wants to “expand considerably”.
With the new concept, waiting will be equalized, creating space for around 500 seats.

To do this, the terminals will be relocated and the interior completely renewed.
In addition, new technology, a Ronald Gym Club for the younger guests and a toilet without the usual toll on motorways.
Only McCafé remains as usual.
Since in future there will be no pre-production, but work to order, a second kitchen will be installed in order to be able to cope with the rush of touring buses.

At the top, the lobby is expanded and offers a relaxed ambience with a view of the mountains.
At the same time, there will be no more screens with music videos in the future.

McDonald's am Irschenberg: a "flagship store"
McDonald's on Irschenberg will be a “flagship store”, announces the entrepreneur, who is Europe's largest franchisee with 30 restaurants in Germany and 18 in Austria.
For this he is investing several million euros and significantly more than necessary.
Due to the corona, the renovation had to be postponed from autumn 2020 to March.
The restart should take place in May.
