In a

powerful speech

, the president of the Juntos por el Cambio interblock, Mario Negri, asked

that Deputies sanction Formosan governor

Gildo Insfrán.

It was in a matter of privilege presented against the official for the

police retention that ten radical deputies suffered

on March 16 when they were going to the city of Clorinda.

"I hope that this Congress has the dignity to sanction it so that it knows

that democracy is not the property of anyone,

" Negri said at the close of the question of privilege, while his bench stood up to applaud him.

The Chamber is in session this Saturday to discuss the project to modify the Income Tax, among other projects.

"Insfrán violated article 14 of the National Constitution, he laughed at the regulation that you (Sergio Massa) as president of the Chamber made to give the deputies an essential character of free movement, with his authoritarian characteristic he disregarded the DNU itself of the President of the Nation, which establishes that except for proven cases of Covid, the movement of any citizen can not be obstructed, not just a legislator, "Negri listed.

The legislator added:

"Insfrán is not Peronism, it is the model of autocracy converted and used through popular sovereignty to dominate the conscience of the people."

In that line,

he compared it to the Minister of Government of Formosa

with the Minister of Propaganda of the Nazism, Joseph Göebbels.

"If something was missing to show that this is a caricature of democracy, with a government minister who is a pigeon from Göebbels, look what they do: the province fills the province with pamphlets with the faces of opposition deputies and senators accusing them of murderers."

"That is Gildo Insfrán, it is not republican Peronism, feel dignity, this House must sanction it, cheer up,

because one day it will pass them on to you,

" Mario Negri launched.

Regarding what happened in Formosa, the deputy said that on March 16 they arrived in Formosa "knowing where we were going and who we were going to meet."

He said they complied with all health protocols and had negative PCR tests done before taking the plane to Resistencia.

"Governor Insfrán's police guard waited for us on the border with Chaco, accompanied us and made us swab again. And when we were going to Clorinda, police patrols held us on National Route 11, despite being national deputies and having privileges that they allow us to circulate throughout the country, ”Negri explained at the beginning of his speech.

The also head of the radical bloc recalled that “Senator Naidenoff and I went to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) in January to bring the complaints of those who were locked up in the isolation centers.

Children taken from their mothers, minors and elders from different families crowded into stadiums, "he listed, and affirmed that they made the same presentation to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet.
