Yuan Guoyong, an expert from the Department of Microbiology of the University of Hong Kong, said this morning that the epidemic in Hong Kong has finally "a chance to be cleared to zero" at this stage, and the five-day Easter holiday will be ushered in, appealing to the public not to relax.
There were 6 newly confirmed cases, all of which were imported cases. 3 of them arrived in Hong Kong from India, including a 32-year-old male, a 34-year-old female, and a 36-year-old female, all with symptoms.
Among them, the 36-year-old female was asymptomatic on March 17 and was diagnosed during the quarantine at the Silka Far East Hotel in Tsuen Wan.
In addition, there were two cases of 44-year-old male and 28-year-old female who arrived in Hong Kong from the Philippines, both of whom were asymptomatic. One case was a 45-year-old male who arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan asymptomatic.
