The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in the Yemeni National Salvation Government revealed that the size of the damage and losses that affected the agricultural sector during the six years of aggression and blockade imposed by the coalition led by the Saudi regime amounted to more than 111 billion dollars.

The Al Masirah Net website quoted the ministry as saying that the aggression's raids destroyed 172 governmental buildings and agricultural establishments and 204 agricultural buildings and facilities within the components of non-governmental productive farms. The aggression also targeted 89 water installations, various between dams, barriers and reservoirs.

She added that the aggression's raids completely destroyed 2,314 agricultural warehouses and warehouses, as well as directly targeting 45 agricultural societies, 29 agricultural export centers, cooling refrigerators, and 3,213 agricultural equipment, machinery and supplies.

In his turn, Yemeni Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Abdul Malik Al-Thawr said that the impact on the agricultural sector is severe and its repercussions affected more than 56 percent of the population working in this vital sector, indicating that the repercussions will continue for years to come.

The Saudi regime has continued its aggression against the Yemeni people since March of 2015, leaving tens of thousands of victims and massive destruction of the country's infrastructure.
