Chancellor Angela Merkel criticized the implementation of the corona measures by the federal states during the ARD talk by Anne Will.
She described the latest federal-state summit on how to deal with the corona pandemic as a "caesura".
It couldn't go on like this.
The next time they meet, it must be clear that “we will get joint results,” added Merkel.
But not all are so "free of illusions to assume that the virus cannot be negotiated with."
"But I don't think testing and strolling are the right answer," said Merkel.
She warned the country leaders to rigorously implement the resolutions of the Corona emergency brake - otherwise the federal government would have to intervene via the Infection Protection Act.
Merkel apologized for the "Easter rest" resolutions
Because she had to withdraw the resolutions of the »Easter rest«, the Chancellor publicly asked the population for forgiveness on Wednesday.
"This mistake is entirely my fault," she said.
Merkel was already a guest on the journalist Will's show in 2009.
In 2015, at the height of the so-called refugee crisis, she explained her policy twice in a solo appearance.
Merkel last used the talk show in 2018 as a stage.
