The hunt for companies that do not play the telecommuting game is intensifying.
Three days after the publication of the new company health protocol, which notably imposes on companies an action plan vis-à-vis remote work, the Ministry of Labor sent an instruction to the Labor Inspectorate on Friday to strengthen the checks on the effectiveness of this measure and compliance with health recommendations in the workplace.

As the executive has been reminding us for several weeks now, the margins for progress in practice remain significant.
And for good reason, more than a third of workers able to work remotely did not do so at all in March, according to a Harris Interactive survey commissioned by the Ministry of Labor last week.
The executive believes that its generalization represents a major bulwark in the spread of the epidemic.
Hence the need for a call to mobilize employers to try to curb social contacts.
“I am aware that we have been asking companies and their employees to make considerable efforts since the start of the epidemic, but it is important that they continue to play their full part in the fight we are waging against the virus.
Scientific studies show that teleworking is effective in reducing the risk of contamination ”,
commented the Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne.

As of Thursday, the Labor Inspectorate carried out several targeted checks, in particular in the La Défense business district.
And actions of this type will intensify in the days to come.
Since the start of the year, some 24,000 checks in connection with the application of sanitary measures have thus been carried out in companies in France by workers from the Labor Inspectorate.
Out of all these checks, only 34 formal notices were issued.
A record that seems very poor ... The only satisfaction, 90% of formal notices were followed up by employers.
