It was the first appearance in months: on Saturday the band Luz amoi gave a virtual concert - for a good cause.

Freising / Hausmehring

- "Pfenningguad": This is how a listener commented in the chat what was offered to him on Saturday via live stream by the Luz amoi group.

After months of starvation, the quintet could be experienced live again - even if only virtually.

The Sparkasse Freising invited the ensemble to a benefit concert, which was broadcast from “Maiers Hofstubn” in Hausmehring all over the world.

A dream came true for Luz amoi on Saturday evening

Finally “Suserl” again, finally “Drah mi um” again, finally again musical joie de vivre and pure zest for life.

For Luz amoi and Stefan Pellmaier, a dream came true on this Saturday evening: to finally be on the screens like one day “Wetten, dass ...?” At prime time.

Tablets, laptops, smartphones and the like made it possible for fans and lovers of the extraordinary band to enjoy musical genius once again on Saturday after months of hard privation.

The group sat in Hausmehring, various cameras for the live broadcast were aimed at the musicians, and the lighting and scenery were professional.

Everything was set up for a wonderful evening that also served a good cause: the audience was called upon to donate to art and culture in the district and for a tree-planting campaign by the Sparkasse together with kindergartens and schools.

To anticipate: After one and a half hours, 5560 euros had already been received, and you can still donate for four weeks (information at www.sparkasse-freising.de).

The mayor also demonstrated his vocal qualities

In July 2020, as Stefan Pellmaier looked back, Luz amoi gave the last concert.

So it was long, long ago.

What was missing there, you could feel immediately after the first notes: The “Suserl” opened the concert - rousing, bursting with energy, driving straight into the bones.

Then: Soft, blue backlighting, it was steady and worn, almost a bit romantic.

Luz amoi - in all its musical splendor, diversity and exclusivity.

There are the songs that come along in the singer-songwriter style, there are numbers in which the klezmer music shimmers through irresistibly, there are songs in which the touching Isar blues cannot get by, there are Bavarian classics like the "Fensterstockhias" “, Which Luz amoi simply and grandiose packaged in an Italian music package - with a lot of amore and a lot of mandolin.

If you have a multi-instrumentalist and singer like Häns Czernik in your ranks, there are practically no musical limits for you.

But there is also the indestructible double (“Der Schleifer”), in which the Bavarian almost unadulterated the listener, in which Stefanie Pellmaier and her violin, Manuela Schwarz on the dulcimer and Dominik Hogl on the double bass roll out the grandiose sound carpet, there is one or other percussion solos, and there are languishing love songs like “Drah mi um”, for which the audience on the screens was asked to send photos of themselves as a couple.

In times of corona and distance, you have to know how to help yourself in this way.

And if you also have a Lord Mayor like Tobias Eschenbacher, who accepted the donations as patron of the community foundation, was on site in Hausmehring and demonstrated his vocal qualities in “Die Stadltür”, then the best entertainment is guaranteed.

Bright spot in difficult times

The Sparkasse board members Johann Kirsch and Andrea Felsner-Pfeifer were enthusiastic about this bright ray of light "in this difficult time".

And Luz amoi was happy to be able to give a concert again.

“Stay true to us!” Asked Pellmaier at the end.

Will be done.

Promised.
