Tartous-Sana
The fuel committee in Tartous governorate decided to reduce the filling quantities of gasoline and diesel chips in proportion to the available quantities and to ensure the continued operation of the largest possible number of cars in the governorate.
A member of the executive office concerned with the supply and fuel sector, Bayan Othman, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondence today that the filling of the gasoline chip has been reduced so that 20 liters are filled every four days for public cars, 20 liters every seven days for private cars and 3 liters every seven days for motorcycles, pointing out that the application has begun Since today.
Othman added that the decision is due to reducing the governorate’s allocations, so that “we will ensure that more segments are covered and more cars can be driven,” explaining that the car that used to supply forty liters per day has become 20, meaning a 50 percent reduction.
As for cars operating on diesel in the areas belonging to the villages and the countryside, the reduction was also made by 50 percent, while the allocations for cars operating from the governorate center to the same areas remained.
