In a press report on the gas explosion in the south of Nuremberg, the Middle Franconia police confirmed that there were four injured.

The resident of the affected apartment was seriously injured in the explosion.

An officer standing outside the front door when the explosion occurred was hit by splinters and slightly injured.

Two other residents of the house suffered a blast trauma.

The rest of the 29 residents were able to leave the building unharmed.

They were taken care of in a VAG bus nearby.

The explosion caused massive damage to the building, the police continue to write.

A structural engineer then examined the house and concluded that it was no longer habitable.

Most of the residents were able to stay with friends or relatives for the time being.
