During the holiday and the holiday season, the Nature and Parks Authority has organized hundreds of thousands of hikers to take advantage of the freedom from work and pleasant weather, to walk in the nature reserves and national parks, and enjoy the flowering and variety of activities offered to the general public.
Also during the holiday, the authority set up dozens of information stations in hiking areas and will distribute garbage bags to hikers.
In the shadow of the restrictions due to the corona crisis and the existing visit quotas at each site, entry to nature reserves and national parks that receive a paid audience will only be possible by prior arrangement through the registration system on the Nature and Parks Authority website.
In the last day, about 160,000 Israelis left their homes and visited the nature reserves and parks, and about a thousand of them even came to us on the eve of the holiday at the various sites.
Significant congestion was recorded in Migdal Tzedek, Banias, Caesarea, Ein Gedi, Ashkelon, Masada, Ein Afek, Ein Haredlit and Nahal Tavor.
