With the aim of simplifying procedures and ensuring workers' rights in the industrial city of Hassia in Homs, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor opened today a labor office in the government complex building in the city.

Dr. Salwa Abdullah, Minister of Social Affairs, indicated that the creation of the office comes within the framework of simplifying procedures, relieving workers and industrialists of time and effort, and allowing them to complete their various transactions without having to go to the city center in a manner that guarantees the rights of workers in the private sector in accordance with laws and regulations.

The head of the Homs Chamber of Industry, Labib Al-Ikhwan, indicated that the office serves about 4 thousand workers in the Hassia industrial facilities and allows the completion of transactions easily and easily for both parties to the worker and the employer.

Dr. Eng. Bassam Al-Mansour, Director General of Hessia Industrial City, emphasized the importance of opening the office and its role in implementing the requests of the industrial city and investors, which would support the investment process and its reflection on the national economy.

Tamam Moussa, Director of the Labor Office in the Industrial City, pointed out that the office has been provided with office and electronic equipment to carry out the tasks entrusted to it, as the office provides services to workers about resignations and disputes that may arise between the worker and the employer, conducting inspection tours and ensuring that workers are insured in accordance with laws and regulations.

The opening was attended by the Governor of Homs, Bassam Parsik, as well as economic and administrative activities.

In addition, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor was informed of the reality of work in a number of institutions and NGOs in Homs.
