hid
".
At around 1 a.m., an individual approached the monitored place, and also tried to flee in front of the police who got out of their vehicle to stop him.
The security assistant then started the pursuit and was able to grab the suspect.
On the ground, the latter then stabbed him in the groin.
"
I'm stung
"
The rest of the patrol joined the two men, with the officer shouting that he had been "
stung
".
They must have fired a shot to intimidate the respondent and allow the arrest.
The police then discovered a backpack belonging to him, containing two additional knives, and a butcher's sheet, a tool of the knife family used to cut the carcasses.
The injured policeman was transported to the Nantes University Hospital.
The assailant, 19 years old according to
Ouest-France
, was taken into custody, and his criminal record would be blank.
“
It's a very good element,
” underlines Laurent Le Tallec.
“
Physically, things are better, but morally, it's difficult because afterwards, we realize that he could have lost his life.
He had a police reflex
, ”explains the representative, who adds that the young man is preparing for his final entrance examination into the police, the security assistants carrying out fixed-term contracts.
In 2018, he had already shown courage in saving a man ready to commit suicide, and "
must therefore receive a medal this year
".
Laurent Le Tallec denounces the “
explosive cocktail
” of Nantes violence, which “is
going crescendo
”: “
there has been a vicious circle for some time.
By the resignation of the parents.
Then we are sorely lacking in staff.
Nearly a hundred reinforcements are needed, we have been asking for them for years.
Finally, the penal response is not up to par,
”describes the police officer.
Several sources also fear the end of containment measures, which could ignite crime in the city.
