Nevertheless, two women from Dachau set out on a hike from Birkenstein to the summit on Sunday, March 28th.
On the descent, however, they got so exaggerated that the helicopter had to move out to save them.
As reported by the Bad Feilnbach mountain rescue service, the hikers (38 and 41 years old) decided to descend on a different route.
However, as the summer path to the Kesselalm was not accessible due to the deep snow, the women initially avoided the direction of Jenbachtal and Bad Feilnbach.
Your goal of getting back to Birkenstein past the south side of the Breitenstein halfway up the hill, however, came to an end in the impassable steep terrain on the north flank of the striking mountain.
After one of the two women had slipped several meters, they called the mountain rescue service around 7.30 p.m.

Fortunately, the cell phone location was very precise, so that the rescuers could quickly determine the exact location of the hikers.
Two ground teams from Feilnbacher standby with a total of 20 people set out from two sides with ski touring equipment.
The Bergwacht Hausham arrived with their technology bus to support the search with a drone including a thermal imaging camera.
At around 9 p.m., the Edelweiß 3 police helicopter flew to the scene to pick up the hikers with the cable winch.

However, there were unsightly complications, the mountain rescue service announced.
Ironically, during the most delicate maneuver, the dropping of the emergency services at the scene of the accident, which demands the highest concentration from the pilot, the pilot was blinded by a strong blue laser.
The crew suspects that the light source could even have been in the Bad Aibling or Kolbermoor area.
Ultimately, however, everything went well and the mission was successfully completed at around 10 p.m.
