The Wolfersdorfer can look forward to a better cell phone network.

The local council did not want to stand in the way of this project on Thursday.

Wolfersdorf -

Although cell phones have become an indispensable part of everyday life, there are still places where the cell phone is as good as unusable: Especially in small, remote villages, you can quickly find yourself in a dead zone.

Every mobile operator is familiar with this problem.

So it was only a matter of time before Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica Germany approached the Wolfersdorf community.

Several location offers for Wolfersdorf and Oberhaindlfing

Deutsche Telekom informed the council that locations for the expansion of the mobile network that could be improved were being sought for both the Oberhaindlfing search area and the Wolfersdorf search area.

Since Mayor Anita Wölfle and her councilors also know about the problem that it is not possible to make phone calls everywhere in the municipality, they made three offers for possible locations in Wolfersdorf and four location suggestions for Oberhaindlfing.

Shortly afterwards, Telefonica Germany got in touch with the same request.

The mobile operator then received the same location suggestions as Telekom.

By means of an additional pollution report, the municipality had all the locations that it had proposed to the providers checked again.

The project should "fit in as harmoniously as possible in the townscape"

On the basis of this report, the council now favors a location on a plot of land north of Oberhaindlfing for this search area and the location at the former water house for the Wolfersdorf search area.

It is also important to the councils that the locations are not free-standing areas so that the telephone masts fit into the overall picture as well as possible.

Local councilor Thomas Mayer dealt especially with the topic: "The project should fit in as harmoniously as possible in the townscape, but also provide all people with the same network." In his opinion, the local council could "not stop" - after all, everyone wanted to make phone calls without any problems and everyone get upset when suddenly the cell phone network breaks down.

The entire council thus approved the project.

The municipal council stipulated the exact conditions under which the property at the water house can be rented to the mobile phone providers in the closed meeting.
