The Minister of Construction and Housing, Yaakov Litzman (Torah Judaism), said tonight (Monday) that he would recommend that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu form the next government.

Litzman announced this at an Agudat Israel activists' conference to summarize the elections and clarified that Torah Judaism will do so as part of the round of recommendations in the President's House.

"We informed the public before the election that we would go with Netanyahu, so there is no question here, Torah Judaism, and for me Agudat Israel will at least recommend to the president only Benjamin Netanyahu," Litzman said.

"Our goal is to establish a right-wing coalition for all Israeli citizens."

In his remarks, Litzman referred to reports of tensions between the chairman of the Torah Judaism faction, Moshe Gafni, and the prime minister over the manner in which the election campaign was conducted. "All the other rumors are spin."
