Tomorrow the Palestinians will commemorate the forty-fifth anniversary of Land Day, which corresponds to the 30th of March of each year, to affirm their attachment to their land and their legitimate rights, foremost among which is the right to self-determination and the right of return, renewing the covenant to continue the struggle to thwart the so-called (deal of the century) and all occupation plans aimed at breaking the will of the Palestinians and judaizing their land And obliterating their historical and cultural identity.

The events of Land Day go back to the thirtieth of March 1976, when demonstrations swept across the Palestinian cities and villages in protest against the occupation authorities ’seizure of 21,000 dunams of lands from the city of Galilee in the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948 and the occupation forces suppressed them with live bullets, which led to the death of a number of Palestinians and the wounding and arrest of hundreds. So that this history remains an epic present in the Palestinian memory over the years that illuminates the path of resistance in the face of the Judaic colonial occupation schemes.

The coordinator of the Popular Committee to Resist the Apartheid Wall and Settlement, Salah Al-Khawaja, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent: A series of activities have been launched in the cities and towns of the West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip on the occasion of Land Day, and thousands of trees will be planted in the villages of the northern Jordan Valley and Nablus, which the occupation authorities threaten to seize. Launching a campaign on social media under the title "All the Land is Palestine" and displaying media materials documenting the occupation crimes against the Palestinians, in order to mobilize the largest international support for the justice of the Palestinian cause.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian People's Party, Bassam Al-Salihi, affirmed that this eternal memory of Land Day confirms that steadfastness and resistance are the only way to thwart the occupation plans, and it is a national day that the Palestinians celebrate in the homeland and diaspora to emphasize their rootedness in their land and to continue the struggle in defense of it to thwart all occupation attempts to uproot them.

For her part, a member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Maryam Abu Daqqa confirmed that Land Day is a glorious day in the life of the Palestinian people that shows to the world public opinion its attachment to its land and its valor in the battle to defend it, pointing out that it has become a day of global solidarity with the Palestinians and their support to obtain their legitimate rights. On its silence, which the occupation exploits to expand settlements, demolish Palestinian homes and properties, seize their lands and forcibly displace them, and stress the need for the occupation to implement the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

A member of the Central Committee for the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Mahmoud Khalaf, said that on the anniversary of Land Day, the Palestinians renew the covenant to continue the path of resistance and steadfastness until defeating the occupation and restoring full rights, indicating that it is an occasion to remind the world of the racist crimes of the occupation against the Palestinians of killing, settlement, displacement and ethnic cleansing.

Khalaf stressed that Land Day will remain a symbol of resistance because it is the only way to liberate the land, calling on the world's free people to support the Palestinian people in their struggle and struggle to obtain their legitimate rights.
