The fuel committee in Damascus governorate decided to reduce the quantities of filling gasoline for private and public tourist cars (taxis) by 50 percent and for the same previous period of time due to the decrease in the number of fuel requests received by the governorate.

Deputy Head of the Executive Office in Damascus Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Nabulsi, stated in a statement to the representative of SANA today that gasoline filling has been reduced to 20 liters every seven days for private tourist cars, 20 liters every four days for public cars (taxis), and 20 liters for cars operating on foreign lines, Lebanon and Jordan each 4 days.

Nabulsi indicated that the supply of microbuses (caravans) with the quantities of diesel allocated to them will be stopped every Friday until further notice, and that buses of the General Company for Internal Transport and private internal transport companies will be satisfied in order to ensure the continuation of securing transport service for citizens.

Nabulsi explained that the implementation of the decision starts from midnight tonight, pointing out that this procedure is temporary until the oil supplies arrive in Syria.
