The head of the Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabei, announced today that the Panamanian vessel Evergiven floating in the Suez Canal a week ago, and the resumption of navigation in the international shipping lane.
The Seventh Day website quoted Hind Fathy, a media spokesman for the Suez Canal Economic Authority, as saying that the ship began sailing with its engines at a speed of 1.5 knots under the direction of the Suez Canal Authority's tugs.
Earlier, Fathi published the first pictures of the movement of the delinquent Panamanian container ship to the lakes, in preparation for the resumption of shipping traffic in the canal.
