Summer holidays: why you should book your train tickets now

Tuesday March 30, from 6 a.m., SNCF will open sales of TGV InOui and Intercités tickets for trips from Saturday July 3 to Sunday August 29 inclusive.

To get to Brittany, Marseille or the Basque coast at the best price, it is better to be among the first to book.

Getting started now also offers the assurance of being able to leave on the desired days, including certain weekends that are very popular with holidaymakers, such as July 14 and August 15.

Tickets are on sale through the usual channels, namely the Oui.sncf site and application, as well as SNCF approved shops and agencies.

The low-cost subsidiary Ouigo, meanwhile, is selling tickets for trips until December 11.

A good reason to plan a vacation in September and to take advantage of the bridges of November 1 and 11 at very attractive prices (€ 10 for an adult, € 5 for a child).

New this year: travelers can choose their seat on board, whether it is the car, the floor (upper or lower room), the seat number or the configuration (solo for more space, places with electrical outlet, duo, square or triplet ...).

This service, available at the 41 Ouigo destinations, is offered between 3 and 7 € depending on the type of seat.

Always flexible cancellation conditions

Until April 18, 2021 inclusive, all TGV InOui, Ouigo, Intercités and international TGV tickets (TGV INOUI Italy, TGV Lyria, Renfe & SNCF in Cooperation, DB & SNCF in Cooperation), are exchangeable and refundable free of charge until last moment (until 1:30 a.m. before departure for Ouigo).

In order to allow a booking in all serenity for the summer holidays, despite the uncertainties in the health context, all tickets concerning trips from April 19 to August 29, 2021 inclusive, are also exchangeable and refundable free of charge up to 3 days. included before the departure date.
