In honor of the living legend, the great artist Sabah Fakhry and his role in enriching the authentic Arab and Syrian singing heritage, Syrian children revived a concert by the National Orchestra of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization led by Suleiman Harfoush at the Opera Theater in Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

The concert, which was attended by the great artist as an expression of his love for children, included a bouquet of his most beautiful singing legacy, with the participation of more than 300 children and girls between choir and musicians distributed between Arab music and stringed instruments from various schools in Damascus collectively and individually in addition to the presentation of a short film that included his artistic career. That lasted nearly seventy years and its most prominent stations rich in giving, writing, composing and singing, in addition to the most important awards and honors it has received.

And the children performed with their beautiful voices the most beautiful of what Kabir Fakhri sang, including “Qadak Al Mayyas”, “Fawq Al Nakhal”, “Yamal Al Sham”, “Al Dalouna”, “Al Qrassi”, “Send me an answer” and “Yatireh Tayry”. Their fingertips also played the most beautiful singing links. The various shrines such as Rust, Bayat, Hijaz and Samai Nahawand, with the presentation of many muwashahat, to be honored at the end of the ceremony, the great artist.

The head of the Baath Vanguards Organization, Muhammad Ezzat Arabi, a writer, stated in a statement to SANA that it is a recognition from the organization for the great national, artistic and cultural residency represented by Sabah Fakhri, which we have the right to honor. Today’s celebration came based on the responsibility of the pioneers for childhood in Syria to confirm that we will carry this legacy that he carried Over the years because it represents our authenticity and our cultural heritage, indicating that this celebration is a message of thanks addressed by the children of Syria to this great artist.

The conductor of the orchestra, Suleiman Harfouche, indicated the need to introduce Syrian children to their heritage, identity and artistic history and encourage them to sing this kind of beautiful tarab in addition to muwashahat and qudd, explaining that all difficulties have been overcome and a concert befitting the great Sabah Fakhry

Music coach Samuel Shamat explained that the ceremony came with the aim of honoring and thanking a Syrian, Arab and international artistic creator for what he presented to the Syrian and Arab audiences, as the program included many vocal links, including the playing of Muwashah Samami Nahawand, distributed by the musician Mahdi Al Mahdi.

The choir coach Fadi Ali Muhammad and a teacher at the Martyr Basil Al-Assad Institute showed that he spent a long time with children to train them to sing the works of the great artist in order to enable them to perform such kind of songs and achieve a good result. Al-Tarab Al-Halabi, which is considered proud of one of its major pioneers

The child Nissan Abu Fakhr, from the fifth grade, expressed her happiness with participating in this celebration that honored the great artist Sabah Fakhry, indicating that she performed a group of his songs..the fourth grade girl Hala Hassoun plays the violin. She expressed her happiness with this participation, in which she played musical pieces from Al-Bayat, Hijaz and Monitoring As for the third-grade child Jihad Zahr Al-Din, he played his violin with lyrical muwashahat.

The first pioneer on Syria performed the singing of the child Sarya Qulfa, a song with his beautiful voice and remarkable presence, in honor of the legend Sabah Fakhri, expressing his happiness with this participation, while the child Rawan Marjan from the Freedom Institute sang Muwashah Hat Esqiniha expressing her participation in this celebration.
