With the support of former entrepreneurs, offices are rented to start-up companies here.

A first rough concept is in place.

Fürstenfeldbruck

- The so-called managing director's house on the Amperinsel has been empty since the Stadtwerke moved.

The idea to use the building again quickly arose.

Two applications brought a start-up center into discussion.

The city council took up this and has now decided to implement it.

In this way, nine office spaces between eleven and 30 square meters will be created in the building, spread over three floors.

The rent is between 90 and 230 euros.

There will also be a meeting room, a communal kitchen and toilets.

The reading café and the event hall in the neighboring Aumühle could also be used, explained Georg Huber from the city's real estate management.

A maximum of five years

The offices are to be rented to young companies from future industries such as mobility, medicine and digitization as well as from the cultural and creative industries, reported Aliki Bornheim from the economic development agency in the town hall.

The start-ups should stay in the founding house for a maximum of five years.

During this time they can start their business and create jobs.

"Our goal is to keep the companies in the community," said Arnold Wietzke from the Active Seniors of Bavaria.

The grouping of former entrepreneurs will accompany the project and support the founders.

"The project is a very important thing for Fürstenfeldbruck," added active senior Michael Richter, who was a guest at the city council meeting.

The active seniors

In order to be attractive as a house, the city as a carrier must offer added value.

The active seniors want to bring in their network and their economic contacts.

You hold and organize lectures and advise the start-ups.

A professional infrastructure is also essential, said Richter.

"The founders definitely have certain demands."

A group of friends and sponsors with companies from the region should help them to network.

A representative from the founding company is supposed to take care of the external impact, who is also available to the young people with advice and action.

A coordinator takes care of the day-to-day business in-house.

A steering committee selects the applicants.

According to the concept that has now been adopted, there are representatives of the applicants as well as the representative and coordinator as well as representatives of active seniors and business development agencies.

Alexa Zierl (ÖDP) advised that the steering committee should have equal representation in order to also address female founders.

The city council was very open to the project.

"It's a great concept," said Jan Halbauer (Greens).

Andreas Rothenberger (BBV) asked for the criteria for the selection of applicants to be presented again to the city council.

Only the name still has room for improvement.

Bornheim's suggestion to establish the brand “CEO's House” - in other words, the managing directors of tomorrow - was not so well received.

It will probably only remain the working title.
