A memorial ceremony was held in Beirut today in honor of the Lebanese activist and political thinker Anis Al-Nakqash, with the participation of political, partisan and religious activities.
Syria's ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdul Karim, affirmed that Syria, which loved the late great Arab thinker, Anis Al-Naccache, loved her, even love preserves in her conscience the most beautiful and brilliant images of sincere thought and resistance.
Abdul Karim stressed that the discussion did not compromise when it required the situation to be frank and confrontational, pointing out that the sense of moral and patriotic responsibility of the great late prevailed over all considerations as he is a critic, writer, historian, courageous fighter and a distinguished visionary on the battlefront, the concerns of the resistance, the nation’s issues, and political and social issues.
In his turn, the head of the Loyalty to Resistance Bloc, MP Muhammad Raad, affirmed in a speech that the discussion has always been a link between Lebanon and Palestine, as he considers it a criterion for distinguishing between those who want the unity of the nation and those who want to tear it apart, explaining that the presence of Anees and his ilk in the axis of resistance is a confirmation of the cause of the resisters for good, people and right .
For his part, the Iranian cultural advisor in Lebanon, Dr. Abbas Khamyar, in his speech reviewed the late Nidal Al-Nashqad’s journey and its intellectual, struggle, ethical and media merits, saying that he was a thinker and searching for the truth and the passage of time did not keep him away from his identity and belonging.
In turn, the head of the International Federation of Resistance Scholars, the scholar Sheikh Maher Hammoud, said that the discussion said the word of truth in the face of falsehood and challenged everyone for the sake of the Palestinian cause and our major issues and was sincere and loyal to his people and his nation.
For his part, the General Coordinator of the Islamic Action Front in Lebanon, Sheikh Dr. Zuhair Al-Ju'id, said that the late Al-Naqash was certain from the beginning of the victory of Syria under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism, as he was certain and confident of the victory of the resistance against the Israeli aggression.
