Canceled last year, the 15th edition will start on May 9 from Concarneau to Saint-Bart with 17 highly motivated figarian duets. Presentation.

Canceled last year due to the pandemic, the double-handed Transat lost its title sponsor (AG2R La Mondiale) but it is rebounding this spring with no less than 17 registered duos (but still without a major partner).

The departure is scheduled for Sunday May 9 from Concarneau and the arrival three short weeks later in Saint-Barthélemy after a 3890 mile course via La Palma.

15 rookies, 5 foreigners and 3 women will take part in this transatlantic race on equal terms in a Figaro Bénéteau 3, the first highlight of the figar season before the Solitaire du Figaro scheduled for the end of August.

This course has seen the biggest names in sailing pass by and will once again offer a formidable playground for these duos, who will have to cover 3,890 miles between @VilleConcarneau and Saint-Barthélemy!

On the starting line in Brittany, Yann Eliès and Martin Le Pape (Keep the Sight) will be able to hoist the spinnaker of big favorites given the experience of the triple winner of the Solitaire and that in full progress of his young friend.

“We complement each other well with Yann, there is a real story of trust.

We want to go for this victory ”, confirmed Martin Le Pape during the press conference to present this 15th edition.

However, the duo will not be the only ones to be able to dream of tasting the victory ti'punch first in the port of Gustavia, in Saint-Barth.

The tandems Gildas Mahé-Tom Dolan (Breizh Cola), Tom Laperche (recent winner of the Solo Maître CoQ) -Loïs Berrehar (Bretagne CMB Peformance), Tanguy Le Turquais-Corentin Douguet (Quéguiner - Innovéo), Alexis Loison-Guillaume Pirouelle ( Normandy region), Pierre Quiroga-Erwan Le Draoulec (Skipper Macif) and a few others (such as the duo composed of Pierre Leboucher and the ghost Thomas Rouxel after 11 years of absence) intend to join in the final fight.

History of inscribing his name on the salty pediment of this transatlantic which makes us dream and has seen the greatest (Desjoyeaux, Le Cam, Cammas, Gautier, etc…) parade (and win for some)

Yannig Livory (Interaction) will set off for a 10th record participation and will lead the troop of “eternal aficionados” ahead of Eric Péron (L'Égoïste) - Cantina Saint-Barth) who already has 7 on his personal counter.

Finally, this line-up of the double-handed Transat would not be as attractive without the presence of three sailors Elodie Bonafous (Brittany - CMB Océane), Estelle Greck (RLC Sailing) and Violette Dorange (Devenir) on board with the Briton Alan Roberts, and d 'a former winner, the only one, Fabien Delahaye (Groupe Gilbert) in tandem with Anthony Marchand (Groupe Gilbert) to compose a crew that can also be scary on the starting line.

In 2018, Fabien Delahaye and Adrien Hardy won 18 days 11 hours 48 minutes and 22 seconds.

Many of these tandems will also make their teeth next week during the Sardinha Cup organized in Vendée.
