Canceled last year due to the pandemic, the double-handed Transat lost its title sponsor (AG2R La Mondiale) but it is rebounding this spring with no less than 17 figurist duos registered.
The departure is scheduled for Sunday May 9 from Concarneau and the arrival three weeks later in Saint-Barthélemy after a 3890 mile course via La Palma.
15 rookies, 5 foreigners and 3 women will take part in this transatlantic race on equal terms in Figaro Bénéteau 3, the second highlight of the Figaro season with the Solitaire du Figaro.
Yann Eliès and Martin Le Pape will notably be at the start.
This course has seen the biggest names in sailing pass by and will once again offer a formidable playground for these duos, who will have to cover 3,890 miles between @VilleConcarneau and Saint-Barthélemy!
