At midnight between Wednesday and Thursday, the price of a liter of 95 octane will increase to NIS 6.04 for self-service refueling.

The supplement for full service will be 21 cents per liter (including VAT), without change from the previous month.

Recall that the current increase comes as a continuation of a trend that began in November 2020 - when the price of a liter of 95-octane gasoline was NIS 5.34.

This is an increase of 13.11%.

It should be noted that the recovery from the corona crisis in the world and the tensions in the Gulf are raising oil prices, as well as the crisis of the cargo ship in the Suez Canal and the huge congestion it caused, also contributed to the rising price of oil in the world. In addition, it is important to mention that the cost of fuel to the consumer consists of several factors, the absolute majority of which are the taxes levied by the state - VAT and excise - which constitute 65% of its price.
