A ton of cocaine worth more than 85 million euros on the illicit market was discovered last Thursday at the port of Rouen in a container from South America, the Lille prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday.

These 1,065 kg of drugs were seized during the unloading of a ship "

" in 933 packages, added the magistrate. The specialized interregional court of Lille was seized, according to the press release. On March 22, the Maritime Prefecture of the Atlantic announced the seizure by the French Navy of more than six tonnes of cocaine in the Gulf of Guinea.
