The Syrian Postal Corporation began providing the end-of-service compensation payment service for demobilized soldiers on 1-2-2021 through its approved centers in the governorates, while facilitating receipt procedures and taking precautionary measures to address the Coronavirus.

The demobilized persons who are entitled to receive their compensation starting today are covered by the administrative orders issued on the 18th of last November by the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces to end the retention and summoning of reserve officers, description of officers and reserve personnel, as of 1-2-2021.

The Director-General of the Foundation, Eng. Hayan Maqsoud, indicated in a statement to SANA's delegate that the Foundation is working to facilitate demobilized people obtaining their dues, as problems related to the mechanism of work have been avoided by increasing the number of postal centers distributed over the governorates and linking them to the network so that the theater can collect its compensation anywhere it is located in addition to reducing The time and effort that was achieved as a result of coordination with the Finance Department at the Ministry of Defense to prepare the lists of demobilized persons.

The number of postal centers that can be received from until today reached 80 centers, 17 of which are in Damascus Governorate and 12 in Damascus countryside, according to Maqsoud, pointing to the observance of precautionary measures to address the Corona virus in centers through sterilization at hall entrances and achieving spatial distance.

From post offices in Damascus, SANA monitored the views of a number of demobilized people who came to receive their compensation, as Bassam Al-Mahmoud from Al-Hasakah Governorate and Yahya Al-Jazaery noted the importance of this service, which saved them time, effort and the trouble of traveling.

Muhammad Khair al-Khatib from the Quneitra governorate, Malik Haj Ahmed from Idlib governorate and Zakaria Ibrahim from Deir Ezzor explained that they received their compensation within a period not exceeding minutes while adhering to the measures to prevent Coronavirus since they entered the post office.

Organizing the role by distributing numbers to the beneficiaries to avoid any congestion that facilitated work matters, according to the opinion of the employee, Feryal Saud, at an Umayyad post office, while the head of the Migrant Center, Muhammad Ghayyad, indicated that they start providing service to the demobilized daily from 8:30 in the morning until the end of the official working hours.

From the evacuation post center, its director, Osama Mansour, talked about the work mechanism, entering the financial numbers data for the demobilized, and granting them sealed receipt access, stressing that all necessary measures be taken to prevent the Coronavirus.

Last year, the Syrian Post Corporation provided the service of paying compensation and financial dues to the military whose retention was terminated.
