2021-03-30T06:10:25.292Z

Assaf Granit, Dan Yosha and Tomer Lanzman will open in September Shosh, a delicatessen, caterer and Levantine cellar in Paris 2e. They offer a taste of the place, starting this Wednesday.

Assaf Granit, star chef in Israel, is preparing to inaugurate his eleventh address, the third in Paris after Balagan, opened in 2018, and Shabour, in fall 2019. Shosh, a delicatessen, caterer and wine cellar, is planned for next September, in the 2nd arrondissement, a stone's throw from Shabour, which won its first star in

the Michelin Guide

last January.

Always associated with chef Dan Yosha and room manager Tomer Lanzman, this time the quadra has imagined a place dedicated to take-out.

In Hebrew, Shosh, derived from Shoshana, is

"a mother or a grandmother, to whom as soon as you walk through the door all your problems are forgotten, no matter who you are or what you are."

She knows what's best for you.

We all come back from Shosh's with a boxed meal, ”

explains Dan Yosha.

“Shosh is a place where people don't ask questions: we decide for them.

This is where you will see and understand the authentic Jerusalem cuisine and flavors that we wanted to bring back to Paris with Shabour ”.

Two sneak peek sandwiches

While waiting for the end of the work, at the start of the school year, you will be able to discover, as of this Wednesday, a foretaste of Shosh via a "pop-up" installed at Shabour, currently closed due to the health crisis.

Every day, from Wednesday to Sunday noon, two sandwiches will be offered in a nod to the flavors that will be found there (only 50 of each): simmered meats, steaming stews, fresh produce and spices directly from Jerusalem.

Bread is a homemade creation flavored with zaatar, somewhere between white bread and hallah.

The “havita” (omelet in Hebrew) is a vegetarian recipe with a melting omelet with herbs and parmesan, homemade labneh with Kalamata olives, pickled cucumber, tomatoes and fresh herbs (€ 11).

The “sofrito” (a stew from Spanish Sephardic cuisine) is garnished with a simmered chicken, chickpeas and potatoes flavored with turmeric, ginger and amba, cabbage shawarma, yogurt and fresh herbs (€ 14).
