At dusk this Monday (March 29), officers from the Customs Narcotics Investigation Bureau went to Saigon to conduct an anti-drug operation. During this period, they intercepted a 25-year-old man who looked suspiciously and found 2.2 kilograms of suspicion in his two hand drawn paper bags. Cocaine, a small amount of suspected crack cocaine was also found on his body.

The officers took him to a 600-foot flat in a nearby private housing estate, and found a giant folder containing 52 kilograms of crack cocaine, with a market value of about 70 million yuan.

The man reported as a construction worker and was arrested on suspicion of "drug production" and "drug trafficking". He will appear in Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts tomorrow.

According to Xiang Rong, the commander of the second group of the Narcotics Investigation Bureau of the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, the arrested person is a "cocaine drug master."

After investigation, it was found that the arrested person made crack cocaine in his unit. In addition to the traditional method of making drugs using soda powder, he also used rare chemical raw materials to make drugs, and used chemical materials to purify the drugs to make their appearance white, thus improving Selling price and earn huge profits.

Drug trafficking and manufacturing are serious crimes. According to the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Chapter 134 of the Laws of Hong Kong, upon conviction, the maximum penalty is a fine of HK$5 million and life imprisonment.
