China today refuted Western doubts about the World Health Organization report on the origin of the Corona virus, considering that this is evidence of the lack of respect by certain countries for science and political manipulation regarding the issue of tracking the origin of the virus.
"China has repeatedly stressed that tracking the origin of the virus is a scientific issue that should be jointly carried out by scientists around the world and should not be politicized," Xinhua news agency quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunping as saying during a press conference.
The spokeswoman added that "politicizing the issue of the origin of the virus is unethical and abhorrent and will impede cooperation at the global level in studying the origin of the Corona virus, endanger cooperation in combating the disease and cost more lives, which is contrary to the wishes of the international community."
Hua said Western countries should do some self-reflection and ask themselves how their anti-epidemic work has gone and what they have provided for international cooperation in fighting the disease.
It is noteworthy that the United States of America and 13 other countries expressed, in a joint statement, their concerns about the report of the World Health Organization on the origin of the Corona virus.
