The CGT is worried about the lack of communication and responsiveness on the part of the management which, for its part, ensures that it respects the protocols.

The first case broke out on Wednesday March 24.

A member of staff who would not have worked that day at the La Poste sorting center in Versailles.

The following days, the noises run in the corridors, but the situation remains unclear.

“There was no communication, no action taken, deplores Vincent Fournier, CGT union representative.

We have strong suspicions that cases are being hidden from us.

So we sounded the alert on Monday night at midnight.

"

According to the estimates of the staff representatives, already six people are at that time positive for Covid-19 out of the 150 or so employees at Versailles.

Tuesday morning, a meeting was therefore held Tuesday morning, following their right to alert.

This gave rise to an operation to disinfect the premises overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.

"Last year we closed 24 hours to do a total disinfection and aerate a long time," he continues.

This Wednesday morning, La Poste notes the presence of 6 proven cases, when the CGT now counts 12.

"We have contact cases which continue to work"

"All people, positive for Covid or confirmed contact cases, are automatically removed from the service," says La Poste.

We also carry out an additional disinfection of the site by a specialized company when the agent has worked on the site during the day.

The occupational physician also visited the Versailles site and ensured the implementation of the measures taken in the field.

"

But this speech is decried by some employees.

"We have contact cases which continue to work because management tells us that we are not obliged to stop", deplores Vincent Fournier for his part.

Another employee, wishing to remain anonymous, explains that he was informed on Monday by SMS to be in contact.

“I talked to management about it and was asked if I felt like I would continue to come to work… I said no.

It's complicated, we are told everywhere that the virus is dangerous and we rub shoulders with people in our work.
